Flayva, the latest food hall in Al Ghurair Centre has officially set a new Guinness World Records for the largest shawarma tasting event. In a culinary feat that created history- Flayva with Allo Beirut, the popular Lebanese eatery in Dubai- curated a culinary masterpiece event.
On 10th October 2024, Flayva became the center of attention as 312 participants from Al Ghurair, Swissotel and the Metaverse Institute came together to create and witness a historic event.
The crowd gathered at Flayva was buzzing with excitement as the event started at 12.30 PM. Participants couldn’t contain their anticipation for the delicious shawarmas from the Allo Beirut and the prospect of being part of the Guinness World Records.
The largest shawarma-tasting event at Al Ghurair Centre was carried out in three rounds, each round offering participants a chance to savor the deliciousness of three different shawarma varieties, which were chicken, spicy chicken and avocado chicken shawarma. Over 900 shawarmas were freshly prepared on the spot under strict health regulations and in the presence of a health inspector.
As the event progressed, Flayva became a culinary wonderland, filled with a mouthwatering aroma of grilled chicken shawarma, freshly baked Arabic bread, and tangy pickles. Every bite of the shawarma was a symphony of flavors, satisfying even the most discerning palates and leaving some of the participants wanting more.
At 3.30 PM as the last group of participants exited the attempt zone, with zero disqualifications from all three rounds- the Guinness World Records adjudicator announced to the crowd that Flayva in association with Allo Beirut is Officially Amazing, setting a new world record for the Guinness World Records for the Largest Shawarma Tasting event.
